Probably not on the same level as Christmas decor for most of us – but Easter is one of those times of year that home decorating can be really good fun!
As long as it doesn’t add to the clutter in your home, of course… But if you have stuff you want to let go of, Lent can be a brilliant time to do just that. I’ve actually got a free printable Lent decluttering challenge for you – grab it here.
But now – let’s get back to the decor!
It’s time to let a bit of Spring come into the house – with it’s soft, bright colours and the feel of fresh new things…

So – let’s get started, shall we?
Easter Decor Craft Ideas
If you’re ready for some DIY – then these decor craft ideas are all things to try.
Why not get the kids involved as well, and have a bit of fun – you never know what you’ll produce!
#1 – Easter Tree
I love the concept of an Easter tree, and have had one in our house for the past couple of years.
They’re so easy to set up – and look amazing!
#2 – Use Existing Kitchen Items
A cake stand is a great way to display all the bits and bobs that are Easter related – and a tired one can create a lovely centre piece for a table. Add rabbits, eggs, florals etc… and it will be a feature you won’t forget!
Or – what about this cute one – a rabbit holding a plate always say Easter to me!
#3 – Something On The Door
Whether it be a more traditional wreath style item, or go for something more unique like some of the examples above (carrots from tulips, anyone!), you can have some fun on your front door and create a really nice welcome!
#4 – Something On The Wall
This is a gorgeous idea.
Simple but really effective – and lovely for a more minimal Easter Home Decor style.
NOTE – There’s also the Free Printable Spring Subway Art I created that’s in the Free Printables Library if you fancy using that on the wall! Grab it HERE

Key Items To Focus On For Easter Decor
#1 – Soft Furnishings
Spring is fresh and bright – so swap out some of your winter cushions and throws for some lighter alternatives.
Linens and cottons, items with designs related to Spring on them, and fresher versions of your colour scheme will all work really well.
#2 – Wreath
Why keep these for Christmas only?
There are SO many ways to create a gorgeous wreath – add in fresh flowers, decorative eggs, twigs and loads more (see all the ideas in the above sections) – and have some fun with it!
#3 – Fresh Flowers
Spring isn’t spring without some fresh flowers in your home.
I love adding plants like daffodils, crocus, pussy willow and all the Spring favourites – and you can find so many colours to match your decor that it makes sense to use flowers at Easter too…
#4 – Table Centrepiece
Lots of us have big family meals on Easter Sunday and in the days surrounding it – so why not create a gorgeous centre piece for the table?
Fill a vase with eggs, add a runner, and be creative – it’s such good fun!
#5 – An Easter Tree
This is my favourite – as it’s easy to create, and looks amazing in lots of places around the house.
Grab some large twigs or spring foliage and add to a large vase – then hang decorative eggs and other items on it.
You can be as creative or as minimal as you like – and match to your home decor.
Simple – but SO effective!
So there you have it! – lots of inspiration and ideas for Easter Decor in your home this Spring.
I love creating that fresh and Spring-like feel, and I can’t wait for you to do the same to your home too.
