What is the Purpose Of A Weekly Calendar?
A weekly calendar is an essential tool for staying organised and on top of your tasks.
It allows you to see the whole week in one glance, helping you plan out your days and prioritise what needs to be done first.
It also serves as a reminder to keep track of important dates and events that are coming up.

It’s part of the Free Printables Library available to all subscribers of OMH, and all you need to do to get access to it is click on the button below and sign up.
Note: This template is available in both A4 and Letter sizes, as a pdf template. Although 80gsm paper is adequate for most day to day uses, I recommend printing on paper that’s at least 100gsm for the best results, and 120gsm if displaying the printable. You could also use coloured paper for a more personalised style (I love using brown paper!).
How To Use This Weekly Calendar
The trick is to plan out your week a few days ahead of time – so you can hit the ground running when you week starts.
Knowing what you want to do in the upcoming week means you have less distractions, and it helps you focus on what you REALLY want / need to do in the week ahead.
You can print off a calendar and add to your planner or the wall.
I like to use this calendar on a clipboard on my wall – and always have a few printed out ready for the weeks ahead.
Note: You can see that there is space to add this weeks date at the top of the printable – so you can make sure you’re always looking at the right week. Especially useful if you print off many sheets and use it for a planner.
Having it on the wall means that everyone can see what’s happening, and what needs doing – and it could be used for a variety of reasons:
- Kids extra curricular activities, school events.
- Add ons to the usual weekly schedule – so you can see any anomalies and remember things easily.
- Your weekly TO DO list.
- Your top 3 goals for each day – so you can tick them off and stay on track with what’s REALLY important to you.
- Birthdays and events (the grey area is useful for this).
- Your work plan for the week – main tasks etc…
- Meal planning
- Kids homework tracker
What will you use your weekly printable calendar for?
I hope it helps you stay organised and on track each and every week from now on.
