Bedrooms are spaces where you need to relax. These bedroom organising gifts are perfect to help with that goal. Help a friend to relax by giving them the tools to organise things properly, and in a stylish way.
My bedroom may well be my favourite room in the house.
It’s somewhere to escape from the stresses of the day, and totally relax.
It’s truly a gift to myself each evening when I think about it, but it hasn’t always been like that…
For a previous me, and for many right now, it’s a space where all manner of things end up:
- Piles of laundry waiting to be put away
- Work stuff – often we work from home and this is the quietest place to do it
- Small childrens items (especially if they’re in our rooms for a while)
and I could go on… all of which are hardly ideal when it comes to relaxing.
So, it makes sense when thinking about gifts for people in our lives, to look at helping them create a little oasis wherever possible in this space.
Here are the top things you could gift them that would make their day (and their night!).

Themes to try when buying a gift for Making Bedrooms More Organised
So – we’ve looked at some brilliant ideas of what to get, but let’s look now at why these make great gifts.
Because – what makes a good organisational gift?
It can be really hard to buy something that’s practical AND feels like a treat – but I’m always up for a challenge!
The best ideas for these types of presents are always things that will be useful to the specific person you have in mind – so that it feels special and thought through, because it’s bought with them front and centre of thinking.
So – let’s take a look at the main ‘themes’ I always consider to be good ones for bedroom related gifts – because these will give you loads of inspiration too…
#1 – Reading Aid
Reading is always a common activity in a bedroom, and there’s nothing nicer than cosying up with a book after a long day.
Why not make this even better!? Here are a few ideas that would be perfect:
- Page holder – these little gadgets fit on your thumb and hold pages open for you! Ideal when you’re tired and your hands start to drop…
- Small light for the book – this will help someone if they like reading but sleep with someone else who likes it dark while they get to sleep.
- What about a small pocket by the bedside that can easily hold a book or two within easy reach? This is a great way to stay organised and have things stored away neatly – while feeling like a little luxury.
- A kindle holder – I have one of these and it’s worth it’s weight in gold – seriously! When I want to feel really lazy (or if I’m drinking a cup of cocoa and needs my hands free), then I can put my kindle on this and read it comfortably. It also works great when watching a film on a Kindle Fire in bed!
#2 – Fragrance
If the person you’re buying a gift for loves a good aroma in their home, then chances are a fragrance for their bedroom will be a hit.
- What about a pillow mist? These are wonderful at making bedtime a luxurious experience, while helping you fall asleep more quickly
- A diffuser is always a winner. You can add in some essential oil blends, and they usually have a night light and timer – so you can have on while you get to sleep, and it will turn itself off after an hour or two.
- A room spray is a mix of the above 2 options – and can be a great idea. You could also have a reed diffuser for a more constant nice smell.
#3 – Lighting
Over the years I’ve bought many types of lights for bedroom gifts, and they’ve all been really well received. They’re the kind of thing that make a real difference to the ambience in the space, but are likely to not be bought by the person as they’re considered ‘extras’.
- A projector light that shows stars or sky at night scenes on the ceiling
- An ambient night light that doubles up as a cute home decor item
- A soft neon style word art light – really good for teenagers especially!
#4 – Cosiness & Rest
Nothing says bedtime more than being cosy, right? Here are some of the top gift ideas to make bedroom ooze comfort:
- A weighted blanket – great for those who struggle to get to sleep, and to aid anxiety (just watch if they are claustrophobic as this can trigger it).
- A stylish hot water bottle
- A heated blanket
- A cuddly toy – could double up as a heated aid too
- Cosy nightwear – something they wouldn’t necessarily treat themselves to
Alongside cosiness, helping someone get great sleep is the best gift in the world. Everything seems easier when we’re well rested…
- If they struggle with outside lights – what about an eye mask?
- If they have frizzy hair – then a silk pillowcase can do wonders for them being less stressed over waking up with a messy do to deal with in the morning!
- A white noise machine – perfect for those with annoying other noises from neighbours etc… as it covers it a little
#5 – Bedroom Storage Gift Ideas
We’ve already mentioned the bedside pocket that would be perfect for holding books in, but there are some other organising ideas that make perfect, and thoughtful, presents: –
- Storage holder for all day to day items – this is a great idea especially for men, who want to take off their watch, wallet, phone etc… and have them all in one place to pick up when they get ready again the next morning.
- Storage for jewellery – great for earrings and rings that are taken off with the idea of putting them straight back on in the morning. A trinket dish keeps it all safe.
- Bed tray – perfect for those that love to have breakfast in bed, or have a flat surface for reading / doing puzzles etc…
- Bedside Table Tray. I love having a small tray on top of my bedside table. It holds my water (stops water stains on the table), and my meds pot etc… – and keeps everything looking neat and tidy.
- A Jewellery box or watch box. Always a lovely gift that can be displayed on a dressing table or shelf.
So there you have it! Lots of gift ideas to make someone more cosy, organised, and relaxed in their bedroom.
Which will you pick? Have you got any to add? I’d love to know, so please leave a comment below…
