What Is A Habit Tracker
A habit tracker is an app or system that’s used to measure someones habits (good and bad).
It allows you to tick off when they are completed on a daily basis, which provides accountability and motivation to stick to it.
For extra motivation it can also include the reasons why you want to create a new habit, and an option for a reward should the habit be kept for a certain amount of time.
Why Have A Weekly Habit Tracker?
Although a week isn’t long to get a habit to stick (usually people suggest it takes around a month), it’s also a great way to start doing something – because it’s not too overwhelming.
Starting small – you could do a few habits each week and see which ones work and which you want to do for the longer term.
OR – you could use this habit tracker to plot one habit for several weeks, if you prefer the smaller chunks of time.
The choice is yours!

Note: This template is available in both A4 and Letter sizes, as a pdf template. Although 80gsm paper is adequate for most day to day uses, I recommend printing on paper that’s at least 100gsm for the best results, and 120gsm if displaying the printable. You could also use coloured paper for a more personalised style (I love using brown paper!).
What Habits Should I Track?
Anything that you need some extra support to achieve – whether this be starting to do something, or stopping doing something.
Some popular options would be:
- Stop eating junk food
- Start eating x each day
- 30 minutes of exercise a day
- Wake up at the same time each day
- Go to bed at the same time each day
- Walk every day
- Read x pages a day
