You’re in exactly the right place if you have a teenager to buy for in the near future. This is a great collection of interesting gift ideas for teens – ideas for girls / boys and both, you’re sure to be inspired!

Unusual Teen gift ideas

I’ve got a younger girl right now who is 11, so teenagers aren’t (yet!) a group that I have to buy for regularly – and since I was a teenager, things have changed!

There’s so much out there now, and so many interests and hobbies that they could have – it’s a mine field to say the least!

So I’ve decided to help out a bit – and here are the best gifts out there right now – for you to be inspired by!

Whether you want a practical gift, a fun gift, or an experience rather than “stuff” – there’s something for everyone…

Please note – These gifts have been split up for ease of scrolling through – into girls, boys and any gifts – but girls may appreciate some of the boys gifts just as much, and vice versa – so use these categories as you see fit!.

Favourite ideas / Themes to stick to for teenage Girl Presents…

#1  – Makeup / Toiletries bag

Always useful – and come in so many shapes, sizes and styles that you’re bound to find the perfect idea.

Extra idea – why not fill with a couple of bits of makeup/toiletries as well, or a voucher for their favourite brand/store, for an extra special gift…

#2  – Playful beauty items

Great for teenagers who like to change their style and look often! Things like hair chalks, hair curlers etc… all make great gifts.

#3  – Bag

These can be used for so many things – handbag, tote bag, clutch etc,,, – and as with the makeup bag option #1 you could add something inside like a voucher.

#4  – Journal

A lovely idea – and a great option for a teenage girl to get her feelings down on paper, or to simple draw, write etc…

There are so many options – even things that have prompts each day and questions – so you can personalise to their tastes.

My favourite ideas / themes to stick to for teenage boy presents…

#1  – Funny T-Shirt

An easy win! – You can get all sorts of slogans on t-shirts, so it can still feel really personalised.

#2  – Light up football

For sports mad boys, this is a great idea, and means they can continue to play football with their friends even after dark, so it ticks the ‘gadget’ box as well!

Favourite ideas and themes to try

#1  – Driving experience

Perfect for getting those teenagers under 17 started with driving. They would feel like they had a head start over their friends.

#2  – Lightbox

We have one of these in our family room and LOVE being able to make messages related to the time of year (currently it’s saying ‘life starts at 40’ because my hubby and I both hit that milestone a while ago).

#3  – Teen cookbook

Getting kids, however old, to learn skills that will help them in life is so important – and a cookbook would be the perfect gift for a teenager going to Uni.

#4  – Cinema tickets

I love the idea of giving teenagers cinema tickets so that they can go on a night out with their friends – especially when cinemas are quite expensive now – a real treat!

#5  – Vouchers

If you’re really not sure what to get, then you can’t go wrong with vouchers. I would get ones that are for several different stores, so that they have more choice (high street vouchers), OR somewhere like Amazon where there’s loads to choose from as well.

Unusual Teen gift ideas

I hope you love these gift ideas for teens, I’m sure that each and every one will make that child in your life smile when they receive it!
