Lent Declutter Challenge [incl. Free Checklist!]

A brilliant 40 day Lent declutter challenge for you to get started before Easter on having a clutter free home! Just declutter one thing a day as directed in the checklist, and you'll see the difference in your home really quickly.  Enjoy!

LIVING ROOM ITEMS...

#1 - DVDs and CDs you no longer watch or listen to #2 - Old magazines and newspapers #3 - Broken or damaged ornaments – only have what looks great on show #4 - Excess furniture #5 - Cushions and Throws that are past their best .

#6 - Any bottles of toiletries that are used up, or past their best #7 - Old toothbrushes – you should change your toothbrush every 3 months #8 - Too many bathroom toys – how many can your children play with at one time! #9 - Old towels – we usually keep far too many, so why not minimise what you have and stick with the better ones! #10 - Old medicine (give to your pharmacy for safe disposal)

#11 - Makeup past its best #12 - Anything that doesn’t promote relaxation and sleep – if you can, take out your work, your laundry piles etc….. #13 - Excess bedding – only keep 2 sets per bed #14 - Visible clutter – the tops of wardrobes are the biggest culprits #15 - Electronics – things that hinder restful sleep.

#16 - Any food past its best before date #17 - Anything that’s chipped, cracked or broken #18 - Recipe books you simply don’t read or use (if you are keeping just for 1 or 2 recipes then consider photocopying these and giving the book itself to charity. #19 - Everything but the essentials off the work surfaces #20 - Those one off items that you have never got round to using – bread maker / ice cream maker etc….

#21 - Any clothes that you don’t feel great when wearing #22 - Anything that doesn’t fit #23 - Anything that is damaged/torn/with holes etc… thats beyond repair #24 - Anything you haven’t worn for over a year (unless its a specific item that only gets worn once in a while) #25 - Anything that doesn’t go with anything else (you’ll never wear it!)

#26 - Pens that don’t work #27 - Junk Mail / Old paperwork etc… – shred or recycle #28 - Your paperwork – Go through any piles and do as much as you can in 30 minutes #29 - Your email – declutter what you can from your inbox. #30 - Your TO DO list – go through your TO DO list and ensure all items on it are still needed.

#31 - Anything you're doing that you don’t absolutely have to do, and that you don’t feel happy doing #32 - Anything that you can't truly fit into your available time  #33 – Social events that don’t make you happy #34 – Excess travel to places #35 - Things that take too much time - look at ways to streamline them

#36 - Anything you are worrying about – talk to someone or do something about any worries #37 -  Any person who makes you feel low when you're around them #38 - Negativity – you are the best person you can be – so stop giving yourself a hard time about things! #39 - Any “I should be doing” thoughts #40 - Regret – you can’t change the past...
