Organise the clothes in your wardrobe by type i.e. all skirts, trousers, tops, dresses together – you’ll find it easier to find what you’re looking for.
My Tips and Advice:
When you open your wardrobe each morning to find what to wear, can you put your hands on the items you need quickly?
One of the best ways of starting when you are organising your clothes is to have them in some sort of order that makes sense to you and how you think – and that usually starts by storing them by type.
Whether you have loads of storage for clothes or just one rail – the principle is the same. If you can group all your trousers together, all your skirts together etc…. then you will be able to put your hands on what you need so much more quickly – saving you time and effort in the process.
So, for today, that’s what I would love for you to do – and to see what a difference it makes.
EXTRA JOB – You could always go the extra mile and sort not only by type but also by colour. This is my favourite way of organising clothes as you can see exactly what you have so much more clearly – and we all tend to think of our clothes in terms of colour and type, so if they are kept in the way our mind works then it will be so easy (i.e. to put your hand on your red skirt, go to the skirts and find the red ones!). It sounds simple, but it really is effective.
