Go through your medicine cabinet and check you have all supplies that your family may need.
My Tips and Advice:
Most families have a medicine cabinet of some description (whether it be a cabinet in the bathroom, a drawer somewhere, or a cupboard in your kitchen – there’s somewhere that the family know they can find what they need when they are unwell) – and there’s nothing worse than going there when you or someone in your family is poorly in the middle of the night only to find that you haven’t got what you need, or that its there but is past its use by date….
Its worth going through what you have right now, when there is no emergency, and stocking up as much as you can.
Firstly go through what you do have and check its still in date, and is still looking OK (some medicines can get sticky and clogged up, making them almost impossible to use again).
Secondly, make a list of all the medicines you would like to have in your cupboard – think about things like pain relief, allergies, plasters, cold and flu remedies, heartburn, childrens medicines, and any specific to any illnesses in the family.
If you find that you haven’t got enough of something you need, or its past its best, then simply add it to your shopping list ready for the next time you do your shop.
TIP – Now’s a great time to also check your first aid kit – as plasters, bandages etc… can also run out unnoticed until an emergency situation occurs…
