Focus on the Lights – turn all lights off and wipe the bulb clean.
My Tips and Advice:
Today its time to take a look at all of the lights in your house – wall lights, ceiling lights, floor lamps and table lamps etc….
Light bulbs can last ages, and as they are around for a while, they can easily attract dirt and dust over time.
This goes unnoticed most of the time because the bulbs are usually hidden away by lampshades, or when on you can’t really look straight at them and so can’t see the dirt as well. But one problem with them being dirty is that this can alter the amount of light that a bulb gives off if they are not cleaned occasionally – and you may well not realise how much darker the light is as it happens gradually.
When I clean the bulbs in my house I tend to use a baby wipe or an antibacterial wipe and (ENSURING THE LIGHT IS OFF AND COOL FIRST OF COURSE) wipe each bulb in turn, making sure not to wipe too hard in case the bulb breaks.
EXTRA TASK – An extra thing to do today is clean the whole light fitting, a duster will get rid of most of the dust lurking in the shades and on the fitting itself.
