Check your clothes for damage – take out anything that needs repair or cleaning, and make plans to get it done.
My Tips and Advice:
You’ve already got rid of stuff that you don’t wear and that doesn’t fit in daily tasks numbers 4 and 22 – so now it’s time to turn your attention to checking for any damaged clothes that may be in your wardrobe.
Damage may be something that needs cleaning or mending – anything that when you bring it out to wear makes you not want to put it on as it’s not at its best.
None of these type of clothes are any good for you where they are, as they won’t be worn until you get them sorted. They are just taking up valuable space in your wardrobe and something needs to be done with them as they will only be good once they are fixed and/or cleaned.
STEP ONE – Simply go through your wardrobe and your other clothes storage, and take out anything that needs repair.
STEP TWO – Next, look for items that are stained or need any type of cleaning.
Take all these items out of the wardrobe and put them in a pile or a bag that shows that they need to have something done to them i.e. take to the dry cleaners, or get them mended.
You are much more likely to get these jobs done when the items are out and in plain sight – otherwise you are just keeping the cycle going of getting more and more frustrated with finding things you can’t wear in your wardrobe when you need them.
TIP – If you don’t have time now to take them to the dry cleaners/mend them etc… then at least make a plan for when you can do these things, and get that in your diary.
