{Daily Task #14} Junk Mail Bin

Task #14:

Put a bin near the front door – or where you sort through your post – and use it for junk mail – envelopes etc…. so that they can be recycled immediately and not add to any paper piles

My Tips and Advice:

Don’t let any more clutter come into your home than absolutely necessary – so much of our household rubbish is paperwork and junk mail that comes through the post, through our general life stuff (work, school, memberships etc…), in magazines and papers etc…

When post comes through your door, open it and deal with it there and then – by that I mean put post for other members of the family in a safe place for them to open, put junk mail straight in the bin, and open your mail, putting the envelopes in the bin as well.

Minimise the amount of paper that ends up piled up to deal with “at another time”.

Your Task for today is to put a bin in place, and also if you have time, to go around the house and collect any junk mail and paperwork that’s already got in! (In my paperwork ebook I go through a great method to make sure paperwork gets sorted in your home as well if you’d like to take a look…) - I'm really going to miss getting junk mail delivered to my front door 6 days a week....

Extra Task:

If you are in the UK and want to be removed from junk mail lists – follow this link and sign up to the mail preference service – this should help to stop mail before it even ends up in your home.

How did you get on?

I’d love to know!  –  Why not write a comment below….
